Trothmoot 2007!

Every June, the Troth holds its annual meeting, known as Trothmoot. Heathens from all around the country come together in one place to enjoy the company of each other and our gods.

This meeting has traditionally been held at Lincoln State Park in southwestern Indiana. In 2001, we began rotating Trothmoot's location around the country: thus in 2002 Trothmoot was held at Fernwood Campground in Big Sur, California. We returned to Indiana in 2003, and held it in upstate New York in 2004. But for the past few years, we've returned to our traditional site in southern Indiana, Lincoln State Park. Trothmoot 2007 will take place there from May 31 through June 3, 2007.

Here's the basic facts:

When:
May 31 - June 3, 2007.
Where:
Lincoln State Park, southern Indiana.
Cabins?
Yes, with bunk beds.
Tents?
Yes, there's space for them, but you need to bring your own. Also, be aware that the tent camping space is slightly distant from the group campground where the Moot will be taking place. It is in a separate section of the same campground, a short hike away. The cost of tent camping and the reservations for it are *not* included in the standard TM registration. You will have to contact the camp and make reservations, in the height of the season space may be short. We recommend the cabins.
How Much for the Whole Thing?
To pre-register by 15 May for all four days and the optional meal plan: $90.
Full reg + meal plan on site: $110.
Day Rates?
If you don't plan on attending all of Trothmoot but have a day you could come down, day rates are $20.
Registration Form:
Yes. Download it now as an Adobe PDF!
On-Line Registration and Payment:
Yes, for those of you with PayPal Accounts. We'll have this set up very shortly!
Food Plan?
Yes, we have one, and it covers Thursday dinner through Sunday brunch. The food plan is optional (although it's quite tasty, if we say so ourselves). Saturday night's dinner is included with your weekend registration. The meals are generally described as generous and filling (and yummy), but if you are an "all you can eat" kind of person, you can always buy the meal plan more than once, or get a couple of extra individual meal vouchers. The meal plan is good for one trip through the chow line at each meal -- for additional servings, you'll need additional meal vouchers.
Special Diet?
Yes, the food plan can accomodate the more common special diets, e.g. low-carb & vegetarian. Just note it on your registration form.
Parking:
Onsite parking is available, but spaces are limited. The Committee strongly recommends that you carpool with others as much as possible.
Presentations, Workshops, and Activities:
We are currently looking for presenters, workshops, and activities. If you or your group would like to volunteer, please contact our Program Coordinator, Sifsson, at trothmoot2007@yahoo.com.
Typical Trothmoot events include seminars, workshops, round-table discussions, brewing and skaldic competition, in addition to the many Blots, the Grand Sumbel, smaller informal gatherings, Seith, games for adults and children, a raffle and more. Because Trothmoot is our largest yearly Troth gathering there always seems to be much more to do than time to do it in -- be glad of this! If you come with an open mind and a good attitude, you will have a great time, learn a thing or two, make friends, and look forward to trying to do even more next year. Bring your friends and kinfolk so you can attend different things and compare notes afterwards. You'll have a full enough weekend without worrying about "doing it all". Trothmoot, like the life itself, involves choices.
